What We Collect

When you create a Level Clear account, we collect your name, email address, and password. Your password is hashed using industry-standard encryption (bcrypt) and is never stored in plain text.

As you use the app, we store your challenge progress, journal reflections, community posts, comments, and likes. Journal reflections are private to your account.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to:

• Provide and maintain your Level Clear account
• Track your challenge progress and streaks
• Display your posts and comments in the community
• Calculate leaderboard rankings
• Send transactional emails (signup confirmation, password reset)

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Storage

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by our infrastructure provider. All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit). Our hosting provider encrypts data at rest.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data through your profile
• Delete your account and all associated data from your profile settings
• Export — contact us to request a copy of your data

When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed, including posts, comments, likes, journal entries, and progress data. This action cannot be undone.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. This is a functional cookie required for the app to work. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
